My Blog

Self - (n) "a unique individual"

I love my life. It's full of chaos and kids, memorable moments and messes in the kitchen (and the bedroom and the bathroom --- can someone please teach these little boys to 'aim?'!!! )

It's a great life -- and it's even better with a glass of wine and piece of dark chocolate :-)

This is the real deal - the real life and times of me and my family and friends.

I wouldn't want to miss a drop.

Family

We're nuts.

My husband and I have heard ourselves saying the following sentences:

"Please take the goat out of the yogurt."
"Seth, don't put your finger up your brother's nose."
"Yes, Caleb, your poop does look like a mountain of whipped cream."

(sorry for the last one, he did actually ask us to come in and confirm that very thing...)

Right now, Caleb wants to know where babies come out on my body. He wants the blow by blow account...
And Seth said to Rocky the other day, "I don't want to go into the ground, I want to go to heaven." (referring to Rocky's grandmother who passed away last year and the children were at the burial.)

There's scooters, questions, rollerskates, swimming, parades, music, homeschooling, library and more.
We're living life at the speed of Caleb and Seth.
And we wouldn't want it any other way.

The Rock

Rocky

This is my man. We're celebrating our 19 year anniversary in August. After 21 years of being together, there are many stories I could tell and qualities I could highlight but I will share with you this moment:

I was sitting at a restaurant with friends a few months ago - we were waiting for Rocky who drove separately. As I turned toward the doors, HE walked in -- my stomach fluttered with butterflies and I gasped like a school girl. He still makes my body tingle and takes my breath away.

There's no one else for me...
